Is Turkey a narco-state?
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the leader of opposition party CHP in Turkey, has accused The Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu of being ignorant about Narco-crimes and drug issues.
Moreover, Kılıçdaroğlu maintained that Süleyman Soylu and his ruling party AKP deliberately encourage any kind of hot money flow into Turkish economy which has been suffering from severe crisis for past few years. According to Kılıçdaroğlu, a significant part of this money flow into Turkish economy is black money.
The recent accusations by the leader of oppositon Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu are very serious. He obviously claims that Turkey’s current ruling elites, among whom there are Süleyman Soylu (The Interior Minister) and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (the current president of Turkey), are paving the way for narco-crimes and drugs issue in Turkey.
Kılıçdaroğlu states that current government is turning blind eye to the black money traffic in order to lure druglords to bring their black money into Turkish economy. As a result, Turkey has become a heaven for narco-crimes and drug traffic.
Here is a tweet on this issue by Kılıçdaroğlu:
“There is a methamphetamine epidemic in Turkey. The Palace (Erdoğan administration) is feeding this epidemic. Do not look at the “we’ll break the legs of the drug dealer in front of the school” bullshit (a statement by Süleyman Soylu). Today I will tell you how the Palace has invited this poison into our streets with black money. This is the result of dirty money.“
In his video-tweet in which he addresses the citizens, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu explains the relation between the economic crisis and narco-crimes in Turkey. Kılıçdaroğlu maintains that the government encourages black money flow into Turkish economy so as to relieve the economy. Kılıçdaroğlu says that this messy and dirty policy inevitably invites narco-crimes into Turkish streets.
Here is a part of Kılıçdaroğlu’s accusations against the government:
“The gangs and druglords came to Turkey with their money. Then they started armed conflicts in cafes and shopping malls in İstanbul. The government turned İstanbul into a crime place. …. Methamphetamine is being produced in İstanbul…“
The Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu is in office since August 2016. The claims about him are not new. An organized crime boss Sedat Peker has also accused Süleyman Soylu of serious crimes.
