Sedat Peker is an organized crime boss. He was on trial during 1990s and accused of taking part in mafia organizations and starting a gang.
He was also arrested on May 12, 2005, and on January 31, 2007, Sedat Peker was convicted of building and leading a criminal organization, robbery and forgery and therefore he was sentenced to 14 years and 5 months in jail.
However, he was released in March 2014. After that, he continued his life ostensibly as a business man who used to have strong and close relationship with the ruling elites of Turkish politics until recent days. Nonetheless, nowadays his confessions and claims on his YouTube channel demonstrates that he has been in illegal actions since 2014.
It must be noted that no one is surprised in Turkey after hearing Sedat Peker’s confessions about his own illegal actions. What is surprising is Sedat Peker’s partners in crimes and his criminal networks as well as his intelligence about serious crimes and illegal actions in Turkey.
According to Sedat Peker, many high-ranking state officials and bureaucrats were involved and many still have been involved in crimes and illegalities.
Sedat Peker’s allegations include many officials. For example, Erdoğan administration’s current Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and Erkan Yıldırım who is the son of Binali Yıldırım who is former Prime Minister of Turkey and current Vice President and İzmir deputy of Erdoğan’s ruling party, JDP known as AKP or AK Parti.
Sedat Peker is still self-exiled, but currently has stopped making new confessions and accusations.
